Born Pretty Store - Circle Glitter Review

Tuesday, July 16, 2013

Hey guys! Today I have a Born Pretty Store review for you. I chose nail art circle glitters to work with because I haven't seen them that often and I wanted to give them a try for myself.

This is a pack of 12 colors and can be found HERE

When I received them in the mail, I decided I wanted to use them over black. More specifically, the black glitters over black.

To spice it up even more, I wanted to make this a 100% matte manicure. To start out, I painted all my nails black and then added a layer of fast drying top coat. After that had dried completely, I painted a thin layer of non-fast drying top coat and used a toothpick to place my glitters.

When I was done with the placements, I sealed the glitters with my fast-drying top coat, let that dry, and then added my matte top coat. The reason behind this was to prevent the glitters from chipping off. Since the matte top coat is more for effect than sealing, I had to do it this way.

On my ring finger, I used the multicolored glitters. In different light angles, you can see the colors coming through.

I kinda really like the matte look with this glitters. What do you think? This way, you can still wear glitters without being obnoxiously shiny...unless you want to be!

Before I applied the matte top coat, it actually was very pretty with the glossy shine.
