Pretty & Polished - Lollipops and Gumdrops and Cuticle Oil

Thursday, July 18, 2013

Hi guys! Today I have two great items from Pretty & Polished! I have a Fruit Punch cuticle oil and a polish from a new collection.

I want to point out how the cuticle oil is packaged. I love how it's completely sealed and you know that it hasn't been tampered with once it was made.

So what I'm showing you now is a polish called Lollipops and Gumdrops, a candy themed glitter topper. Now, like most glitter toppers, you have to carefully place where you want the glitters to go on your nail. It wasn't difficult with this polish and I got most of the colors I wanted within a few dips of my brush.

I DO wish there were more yellow glitters in this. Those were the only ones I found myself fishing for the most. The base itself isn't too thick and it dries rather quickly.

All my pictures show Lollipops and Gumdrops over 2 coats of butter LONDON Pillar Box Red. I felt like these colorful candy glitters needed a sweet cherry red base. I topped it off with 1 coat of Seche Vite.

When I heard about the Fruit Punch cuticle oil, the first thing that popped into my head was Hawaiian Punch. I LOVE Hawaiian Punch but this oil smells nothing like that. It's sweet like a punch would be but it's not overly potent. Pretty & Polished describes it as a "tropical medley for your fingers."

This is the first cuticle oil I have used that has a dropper instead of a brush. I honestly didn't need to "drop" any on my fingers because there was enough on the outside of the dropper tip to dab on my fingers. I do think that dropper is a good idea. If you decided not to brush the oil on each finger first, you could put one full drop on one finger and massage that into the rest of your fingers. It's a good way to conserve your cuticle oil use.

I love it and it isn't too greasy of a formula. You do have to rub it in well for it to soak into your fingers. It does the job for me for a great smelling and moisturizing cuticle oil.

So, what do you think of my sweet post? For more information on the polish, visit the Pretty & Polished Facebook page. If you'd like more information on the cuticle oil, check out the Pretty & Polished Store.

Info from the P&P FB page:
**We are only offering this polish by private sale only. The reason: The glitters in this polish are very heavy, therefore they tend to sink slightly. Shaking your bottle and/or turning it over will make it easier to use. Unfortunately not everyone understands that this issue can occur and that there is nothing the polish maker can do to fix it. So, if you would like a bottle of Lollipops and Gumdrops you can order it directly through us by emailing us at prettyandpolishedllc@gmail.com Thank you!

You can also purchase other bath and body products on the Pretty & Polished Etsy Shop page.

These products were provided to me for an honest review. All opinions are my own.
