Beautisol Exscrub Me? - Citrus Face Exfoliant

Hey guys! So today I have a post on a face exfoliant. Right now I have a favorite that I use weekly but when I got the opportunity to try another one, I got excited! The title of the product says it all - Exscrub Me? - Citrus Face Exfoliant. I love citrus bath and skincare products so I knew I had to try this!

Beautisol Exscrub Me Citrus Face Exfoliant | Kat Stays Polished

This 2 ounce tube retails for $17 on the Beautisol website. I tell ya...I would repurchase this in a heartbeat.

So, I squirted out a heaping quarter-sized amount to use on my face but you could definitely scrub your face with half of this. It smells amazing and has very gentle jojoba scrubbies in it. It is paraben free and washed of amazingly!

The instructions say to exfoliate twice a week or prior to applying their face self-tanner [because they also sell self-tanning products]. Below is my happy exfoliated face right before the rinse!

I am so happy I got to try a new face exfoliator because the beauty Gods know I need constant TLC on my face. I always have to scrub/mask/moisturize/treat my face and sometimes it's good to switch up your products! What do you use for your face exfoliant? If you interested in this product or other products from Beautisol, as always...

Urban Decay Electric Palette

Hey guys! I have finally settled in [for the most part] to my new house! I swatched my Urban Decay Electric Palette as soon as I got it at the release but I had no time at all to post it for you. I have only been able to get ONE look out of this [yesterday] as I'm still getting my makeup and beauty room in order but I at least want to show you what this looks like on my skin tone.

Urban Decay Electric Palette | Kat Stays Polished

As soon as I saw that Urban Decay was coming out with this palette, I knew I had to get it. It's got the most exciting, bright colors you could ask for and the quality of them are fantastic! All of them are soft, silky, and smooth. For the most part, the color payoff is fabulous. I only had issues with a few of them but overall, LOVE this palette! Check out my swatches below! All of them are over UD Primer Potion.

As I'm sure you've already seen, this is the disclaimer on the back of the packaging: "WARNING: Slowburn, Savage, Jilted, and Urban are not intended for use around the immediate eye area."

Urban Decay Electric Palette | Kat Stays Polished

Alright, so these two colors, for me, were the ones with the least color payoff but still looks really pretty. I have the Anarchy Face Case so I knew what Revolt was going to look like. I wanted Gonzo to be this super, pow, in-your-face blue and it just wasn't for me. I'm sure it looks great blended into the other colors but alone it is no bueno.

So, even though these aren't intended for the immediate eye area, I think the color payoff is just fantastic! These are colors that you could easily use in your crease and outer corner. The formula is so smooth and soft - application will be a breeze and they'll blend in nicely for your desired look.

Chaos is beautiful and Jilted is not intended for the immediate eye area. I see these two colors being used together with Jilted being a crease transition color. Both of these swatched smoothly on my arm and the color is just fantastic.

Urban is the last color on the disclaimer warning. I love this color because of the dimension it gives off when swatched. Freak isn't as bright as I thought it would be but that may just be because it's on my arm, not my eye. I promise I'll do some sort of look with this palette soon! Keep a close watch on my Instagram for FOTD selfies!

These last 2 look nothing like I thought they would...but again, these are arm swatches on my tan skin. I bet they'll look way different on my eyes.

So, what color combos would you like to see me try? I've been experimenting with my makeup palettes a lot lately so I'll try anything as long as it's mostly appropriate for work. Check out the look I did yesterday. I wanted something that popped because we went and played laser tag for my friend's birthday. It looked WAY brighter in person. I LOVED the way this turned out. Check out my Instagram post for a lits of all the makeup I used.

If you still don't have this palette and want it, go get it from your local Sephora or Ulta or even on the Urban Decay site! It's definitely worth every penny, especially if you don't already have brightly colored palettes!

Eu Natural Clarity Vitamin C Serum for Face

Hey guys! So today...and probably a lot this week, I am going to talk about some skin care items. Today's skin care item is from Eu Natural. I received a Vitamin C Serum for morning use on the face. This is a serum that contains Hyaluronic Acid that is supposed to be good for hydrating your face. It comes in a 1 fl ounce bottle like this with a dropper top. I immediately changed it out and kept the dropper bottle on permanently,

Eu Natural Clarity Vitamin C Serum for Face | Kat Stays Polished

The directions for this serum says to use 5-6 drops in the morning on a clean face. I used 6 drops of serum and patted it into my face rubbing very gently to work it in. It absorbed right into my skin and I had no reactions to it whatsoever. I have been using this for about 2 weeks now and love it. I'm not sure if it's really making my face feel hydrated but it's not causing any negative effects -- I'll keep using it til it's gone!

Eu Natural Clarity Vitamin C Serum for Face | Kat Stays Polished

This serum also has no scent. It says Vitamin C and when I think of that, I think or oranges, naturally. This is basically unscented and any smell that you get is pretty neutral.

If you'd like to give this a try, you can order it right from their Amazon store HERE for  $39.95. Eu Natural is also giving my readers 15% off -- use code EUN15OFF at chekcout!

April 2014 Ipsy Bag

Hey all! Time for another Ipsy bag! So, initially when I opened this bag I was very happy and very excited! These are all things that I would normally use. At this point...I'm only going to use 3 of the items. Keep reading to see which 3 will remain in my permanent stash! As always, I have a breakdown of value and a total value of the bag for the month.

April 2014 Ipsy Bag | Kat Stays Polished

Estimated Value:
Total: $52.99

Okay, kids. First up is the Cover | FX Mattifying Primer. Not only is this a matte primer but it's supposed to help with acne too. Perfect - I have a tiny bout of acne right now. Well, I tried it out for 2 days and determined that it does NOT keep my face matte. I'm not sure it helped my acne either. It has 1% Salicylic Acid in it but I don't think it was enough to fix any of my problems. I will be going back to my regular primer that actually keeps my face matte all day long.

Next up is the MaryKayatPlay Jelly Lip Gloss in a nude color. I actually really enjoyed this. I don't often wear nude colors on my lips but I think it's good to have nude glosses in your collection. It's good for those days where you're rockin' subtle makeup and you just want to add a little shine to your lips.

We all know I love Urban Decay so this was a no-brainer! I can always use extra liners in my stash so this was okay in my book!

This may be my very first City Color item and I am impressed! Originally I thought this was a loose pigment shadow. Imagine my surprise when I open it up and it's CREAMY! This is a mousse eye shadow and I love it!

This swatch shows a random swipe of just a little bit from the edge of the pot. You can make it as sheer or opaque as you want it it stays put. With a primer, this would look amazing on the eyes!

Lastly, we have a perfume roll on. The last roll on I got I like but I never wore so I gave it to my friend. Well, this one is going to the same friend. I love the smell of jasmine but this just didn't do it for me. It's not bad...it's not horrible...I just didn't like it for me.

Overall, the items that I am keeping/using still add up to more thank the $10 spent this month. I am not disappointed and I still love Ipsy! If you haven't signed up yet, I really suggest doing it! You get to try so many brands and so many products for just $10 a month! Whenever I get something that doesn't work for me, I always give it away. Sign up HERE for next month's Ipsy bag! You won't regret it!

NailNation3000: Glow Worm

Oh yes, another polish from NailNation. This one has been a lemming for me for a while. I'm glad I got my hands on this while it's still available. It's a seriously lime green holo with LOTS of green and LOTS of holo.

NailNation3000: Glow Worm | Kat Stays Polished

For the swatches I used the NN Skunk Base Coat and the 45-Sec Top Coat. I applied 3 coats of this polish because I really wanted an intense green holo effect on my nails. This first pic is under indirect light.

NailNation3000: Glow Worm | Kat Stays Polished

Can we just talk about how awesome this polish is under direct light?! In the sun, it's even SPARKLIER! Yes, sparklier, haha. I have no regrets about getting this polish so...you all need to snag one before they're all gone!
