So, if you don't know Fox Claws, you're missing out. I loved her recent snowflake mani and I've wanted to recreate it. She, of course, was inspired by Donna F. Today I was finally able to get my nails wiped clean and ready for this task.

Hello polish folks! It's been one whole week since I've applied the 1Q32 Instant Gellish polish.

On Wednesday (4 days after initial application) I stamped over the the gel with Konad stamping polish and a full size image. I wanted to see how well the gel top coat really worked. The initial idea came from my good friend over at Lacque Enthusiasm. She said, "Just stamp over them." GENIUS!

The day before this, I felt my left thumb nail almost break. If it weren't for the gel, it probably would have broken all the way. This is probably true for most gel polishes, so I wouldn't necessarily say this "brand" SAVED my nail.

Now it's strong again because of the top coat. Here is the look I came up with:



To me, it brings the loudness of the pink down a couple notches. I couldn't bare to stare at my hot pink nails for this long.

So far it's holding up. No chips, no peeling, nothing! It's staying strong so I'm hopeful for the 2nd week. This is the longest I have had anything on my nails in a long time. I can't wait until next week when I can change to something else!
Now, on my other hand, the one from the video, I'm a little disappointed about. This is the hand I put the top coat on EVERY finger and it has started peeling at the tips. Granted, I didn't follow this technique here, but, I did not expect it to start peeling after a week. Only downside so far. You definitely don't need the top coat to achieve a great polished look.

Happy Friday! This is probably one of the more difficult challenges I've had so far. My friend Kelly LOVES mint green polish. She probably has at least a dozen different mint greens in her stash. I probably didn't help much the day I got her like...3 or 4 of them.

Way back when, if I had trouble figuring out what I wanted to do on my nails, I'd ask him, he'd tell me, and it would actually turn out looking good!

Tonight, he chose a Scorpio theme with black and gold. We are both Scorpios and it's still the Scorpio's time so it's only fitting.

I hope you like this and decide to try it out using the same techniques.

TJ's Thursday Pick: Scorpio

To tide you over until tonight, here is my current mani. I haven't stamped in quite a long time, so I decided to dust off my scraper and stamper and get to it! Here's what it looks like if you haven't already seen it from my Facebook page.



I used Color Club Harp On It, Shany plate SH21, and Konad Special Polish in black.

Last night there was a massive nail page picture sharing frenzy. Luckily, I had several pages share this picture and I was THRILLED when I saw the results. I hope to bring you more beautiful manis in addition to giveaways and haul pictures.
