OPI Brights and Neons - Review and Swatches [partial]Tuesday, September 15, 2015
Hey all! If you're already having a case of the Mondays, then this post should help brighten up your day! I have a few OPI Brights and Neons to show you. These shades have been out for quite some time now but if you're not ready to give up the Summer fun, then dive into some of these colors that you may have forgotten about.
Hotter than You Pink is from the Neons set and is surprisingly attractive to me. It has a certain sheen to it that makes it bright yet delicate. This is 2 coats of polish and a top coat. As usual, this polish applied very well without any issues.
Down to the Core-al from the Neons is quite the gorgeous shimmery coral color. The shimmer is subtle so it wears nicely even for those who don't like too much shimmer action. Shown is 2 coats and top coat.
I STOP for Red is from the Brights and it is seriously SO red! I love it and it's got a creamy formula without being too thick or gloopy. That's how a cream should be! Shown is 2 coats and top coat.
The Berry Thought of You from the Brights is a berry-fuchsia shade that really comes off more purple to me. Color is funny like that - what do you see? Shown is 2 coats and top coat.
Life Gave Me Lemons is from the Neons. Need I say more? This lemony creamy shade is making my eyes water just looking at these pictures! Fortunately, I only needed 2 coats but you should be careful about some bald spots. It may happen if you don't have enough polish on the brush. Still, I love it.
My Car Has Navy-gation from the Brights is a really nice blue cream shade. Again, it's smooth and glides on with ease. I used 2 coats for the swatch and it's more than enough. I love this shade of blue - I should wear it more often!
On Pinks and Needles is from the Brights and is a fantastic mixture of hot pink glitters. I used it over My Car Has Navy-gation to make sure it really popped off the nail. What do you think? This is just 1 coat of glitter and top coat.
Can't Hear Myself Pink! is from the Brights and has major pink shimmer going on. I would probably wear this to some fancy shin-dig for sure, haha. I'm not too much into the shimmer but I do think it's a nice color. Shown is 2 coats and top coat.
I Sea You Wear OPI is from the Brights and is another big shimmer polish...except on the blue end of the spectrum. The name of the polish really fits the shade. Shown is 2 coats and top coat.
I know these shades have been out for a while but have you gotten any of them? Are you still in Summer mode or are you ready for fall? Let me know! I'll still be rocking these bright shades all year long. Then again, I do live in Florida, haha.
