Kat Stays Polished | Beauty Blog with a Dash of Life: Christmas Tree Nail Art

Christmas Tree Nail Art

Monday, December 23, 2013

Hello all! Today is going to be a quick post on a nail design using the JulieG Holiday Frosted Gum Drops polishes! This is a completely textured look but can easily be smoothed out by your favorite top coat!

I have used every single color in this collection starting out with Silver Bells. Apply 2 thin coats of this polish and let dry completely.

Next, decide how big you want your tree. Start drawing triangles using Mistletoe and a dotting tool or a toothpick and make them bigger as you draw on each nail.

Once you have the tree you like, move on to the star. Use Gift of Gold and drawy a star on your thumb for the "topper" to your tree.

Using Ho Ho Ho and Black Sheep, draw atree skirt and presents under your tree. They can be as big or small as you want and you can use different colors for each present if you choose.

When you're done with the presents, it's time to trim the tree! Use Silver Bells for the tinsel around the tree and then using Ho Ho Ho, Sleigh Ride, and Sugar Plum Fairy, add ornaments. Let everything dry at least ten minutes since you have layers of textured polish.

I kept mine all matte but you can certainly add a top coat for a smooth and shiny effect.
