Anne Kathleen - Blossoms Collection Review

Tuesday, September 03, 2013

Hey all! This will probably be my last post before my long vacation. Don't worry though because I will have LOTS of things to post afterwards!

Today's post is a review on 2 of the 8 polishes in the newsest Blossoms collection by Anne Kathleen. Anne Kathleen is an independent shop that sells handcrafted nail polish and jewelry. She sent me two polishes out of a collection that was inspired by flowers. I have one called Daisy and another called Primrose.

Both of these can be applied alone of over a solid color. I chose to swatch them without a color underneath. Let's get started with Daisy below.

Anne Kathleen: Blossoms Collection - Daisy & Primrose

Here is Daisy. Anne Kathleen describe this polish as, "...an apple green shimmer polish with fine orange glitter." I found that this wasn't too "green" but more like a greenish-yellow. It applies in 3 coats by itself and it is highly recommended to wear both a base coat and a top coat. Because the shimmer base is thin and this has micro glitters in it, you might run into a bumpy finish. Nothing a thick top coat can't fix. I wore it for a couple of days and had no chip wear.

Okay, so here is Primrose. Anee Kathleen descrbies this as, "a medium-coverage turquoise-blue shimmer polish with large silver butterfly, medium gold-orange, fine dark blue and holographic gold glitter." I love the color of this polish. Again, because you have such a thin shimmer base and lots of glitters, you'll need a good base and top coat with application. The butterflies are a little bit difficult to fish out, but you really only need them for your last coat of polish. Otherwise, they sort of get lost inder the layers of polish. I have had this on for a couple of days and I haven't seen any chips appear at all.

  2. So pretty! I love the butterfly glitter in Primrose. I would love to see Daisy swatched over black, it looks like it would be perfect for a Halloween-ish mani!
