PR Sample

Today's post is a little different. Today's post is all about hair extensions! Hair extensions intimidate the crap out of me and I have to admit - these made me nervous. First of all, I never really needed extensions but since cutting my hair short, I'm very glad I have these.

These are the Irresistible Me hair extensions. I have here the Silky Touch 24" 200g Natural Black Clip In Extensions. Depending on which length and weight, you will get a different number of each type of clip. Here is their breakdown:

200 g sets (10 pieces):
1 pc of 4 clips (7.5") | 2 pcs of 3 clips (6")
5 pcs of 2 clips (4") | 2 pcs of 1 clip (1.2")

140 g sets (8 pieces):
1 pc of 4 clips (7.5") | 3 pcs of 3 clips (6")
2 pcs of 2 clips (4") | 2 pcs of 1 clip (1.2")

100 g sets (7 pieces):
1 pc of 4 clips (7.5") | 2 pcs of 3 clips (6")
2 pcs of 2 clips (4") | 2 pcs of 1 clip (1.2")

Okay, now into the rest of the details. The hair extensions come packaged in a nice box and inside you'll find 2 sections of extensions wrapped up in a plastic bag. The smaller section is the sample weft that is to be used for making sure this is what you ordered. This is to be used to determine if you need to return the set or exchange it for another color/size. This is actually a genius idea and I love it. Needless to say, this was my color and I was satisfied with that.

So after you get your extensions in the mail (or before if you want to be prepared), there is a video you can watch to teach you how to put in these extensions. Like I said, I get nervous with extensions so I definitely watched it a few times to make sure I was doing it right. Since these are clip-in extensions, they are definitely an easy-in, easy-out way to enhance your hair and add length and volume.

Now you get to see the good part - before and after pictures! I think if I had curled my hair, it would have blended better. Also, a tip for you guys - since this is real hair, you can wash and style it like you would your actual hair. I would recommend washing these wefts carefully before you use them. They do have a sort of "fresh-from-the-mail" smell and I was slightly bothered by it.

I do love that this gave me back the length I got off a little bit ago. The color matches my hair PERFECTLY. Was I surprised? Yes, absolutely. I'm so happy I got to try these and with more practice, these hair extensions will look more and more natural. I can't wait to try putting my hair up and playing with styles!

For storage, I am currently using one of Nat's baby clothes hangers that's meant for pants. Between the two clips, they hold all the wefts of hair, yay!

So, are you into hair extensions? Which ones have you tried?

    1. I totally want to dye these...or get another set to dye them blue and purple. I could totally use the 1 and 2 clip extensions to add color to my hair anytime I want!

  4. I've never tried extensions because I'm concerned the weft would show since my hair is thin.

  6. I haven't used clip-ins, but I did make some for my sister. I do wear weaves as a protective style.
