Quick & Easy Halloween Nail Art with Sally Hansen

Friday, October 31, 2014

Good morning everyone and Happy Halloween! Still not sure what you're going to do? Do you have a party tonight and need a quick nail art mani? Sally Hansen Insta-Dri polishes and Salon Effects Nail Strips are an easy way to decorate your nails in a flash!

The first look I have is a quick and easy drag marble design. I first painted all my nails with 2 coats of Pumpkin Queen except for my ring finger which I kept at one coat. Since this is an Insta-Dri mani, dry time is super quick!

For the drag marble, I swiped Pumpkin Queen and Night Fright next to each other on a plastic baggy. Then I took a small dotting tool and swirled the colors together. I let that dry and as soon as it was, I carefuly lifted it off the palstic and placed it on my nail. I cleaned up the excess and topped off each nail with some top coat! Boom, first design is done!

The second nail look uses the Salon Effects from Sally Hansen. I also decided to do this over Pumpkin Queen and use one of these lace stickers for an accent nail.

These stickers have a clear base but real lace on top so you get a more realistic look to your mani.

Again, I painted 2 coats of Pumpkin Queen on all of my nails except the ring finger, which has just one coat. Once the ring finger has dried completely, I took one of the strips in the size closest to my nail and carefully placed it against my cuticle. Make sure to be careful with the placement because these are VERY sticky and it will be difficult to readjust it.

After trimming away any excess, add 2 layers of top coat. The first layer will get absorbed by the lace on the sticker but the 2nd will leave it looking smooth.

Easy right? These took me less than 10 minutes to do. Definitely not TOO Halloween-y if you're not into that sorta thing. The Insta-Dri polishes go for $4.99 and the Salon Effects are $9.99 a pack.
