Hey guys! It's been quite some time since I've gotten a Julep Box. I accumulated some jules and redeemed them for a box during my birthday month! I am quite pleased with this month's It Girl box. Keep reading for more details!
This month I kept my It Girl box and added on Autumn. This looked like a great glitter topper so I HAD to try it! The It Girl box comes with Winter, Chloe, and Lola, a satin finish polish.
Winter is a grey cloud crème and was surprisingly opaque in 2 coats. This formula is nice and thin and applies extremely smooth. It's perfect for a simple manicure anytime.
Chloe is a warm cocoa frost according to Julep but I see more shimmer than frost. It is perfect for the end of Fall and beginning of Winter. I've needed a color like this in my life. It applies perfectly and just 2 coats will get it opaque!
So, I normally don't like to later glitters over shimmers because sometimes it's just a bit TOO much glitter. WHAT?! TOO MUCH GLITTER?! There can never be ENOUGH glitter! Pairing Autumn with Chloe is actually fantastic! The brown of Chloe is subtle enough that the Autumn topper will still be the focus of your nails. I'd rock this even in the summer. Glad I sprung for this add-on.
Finally, we have Lola, a moonlit night blue satin polish. I LOVEEEEE this one! Bot only does it have a satiny smooth finish, but it's opaque in 2 coats and the formula is thin enough you don't feel like your glopping on a bunch of product. You can choose to use a top coat with this but I really enjoy the satin look.
