China Glaze Rebel Fall 2016 CollectionTuesday, September 06, 2016
Hey all! Anyone ready for Fall or are you still in the Summer mode? Since it's still pretty warm here in FL, I'm still in Summer...though, I do want a few PSLs to satisfy my cravings. Anyway, to get you ready for the Fall season, I have the new China Glaze Rebel collection to show you. There are 12 shades in this collection, ranging from a variety of finishes and shades. All swatches are done with 2 coats but no top coat. What you see is what you get. Enjoy!
The China Glaze Rebel Collection is inspired by the 90s but with a twist! With some of the names in this collection, you'll see why. I think the concept is pretty cool - don't you miss the 90s?
Fresh Princess is a refreshing baby pink shade. It's creamy and applies well in 2 coats. If you're not ready for Fall, use this as your transition shade.
Dope Taupe is a neutral taupe shade which is also a great transition into Fall, however I'm not sure I like it on me. I might have to try this again - maybe as an accent to another shade. The formula is excellent - what I've come to expect from China Glaze creams.
Pearl Jammin' - first of all, how cool is the name? Second of all, how cool is this shade? Yes, this is only 2 coats. I was afraid that it wasn't going to have full coverage but for the most part, it does! i can't stop staring at it - definitely one of my top faves from this collection.
Y'all Red-Y for This? - Does this not make you want to get up and dance? Unless...knowing this just makes me old, haha. This gorgeous red shade has a subtle sparkle that will put some pep in your step. I love any classic red shade and this one will take you all the way to Winter.
Jagged Little Teal - okay, so this one is actually a real teal in person. Lighting definitely affects the look of this one on screen but believe me, it's gorgeous. Also, does anyone else get the reference? I totally had this entire album and knew the words to every song. This was in MIDDLE SCHOOL! Gosh I feel so old!
Love the look of a matte shade? Then get your hands on Combat Blue-Ts. It's almost like a satin matte shade and is surprisingly bright. I love it. I didn't have many staining issues but if your nails are prone to stains, I'd use extra precaution when applying this polish.
Purple Fiction - it took me a while to get this reference but then I was like, "Ohhhhhh, clever." A gorgeous jewel-toned purple shade - seems like something you need if you're a fan of jewel tones! I'm a fan and this is the perfect addition to my collection.
Heroine Chic is an interesting shade. It's dark, it's glittery, it stands out as different. Need I say more? If you're in that sort of mood at the moment, pick this one up and throw it on your nails.
Don't Mesh With Me was one that I thought would be too sheer but it's actually quite nice. Shown is 2 coats alone. You could easily layer this over a solid purple or pink...even a gray...but I like the delicate look of this polish alone.
Holo At Ya Girl is a sparkly concoction of green and gold glitters. As I was applying this one, all I could think of was, "I want to be a mermaid now." The glitter density is high enough that this is certainly opaque in 2 coats.
Blue Ya is a tinted blue-based shade with blue and green glitters throughout. In the sunlight, it sparkled like nobody's business. Definitely a must-have for Fall/Winter.
Teen Spirit is a dark purple shade with microglitters throughout. Thought it looks blue in most light, it has this beautiful purple gleam. Hit it with the right light and you'll be in purple heaven.
So, have these shades convinced you to transition into Fall yet? If not, then maybe you just have a few polishes in your wish list.
