FingerPaints Hard As Steel Spring 2016 ShadesMonday, April 18, 2016
Hey all, happy Monday! Have you had your coffee yet? Today's post is on all of the brand new FingerPaints Hard As Steel series. There are 9 shades total (for now) and they start at $6.99 at SallyBeauty.com and in Sally Beauty Supply stores. Check out my swatches and thoughts below!
For all my swatches below, I used the FP sticky base coat, 2 coats of color, and topped it with the gel-like top coat.
Ink You Cute is a very soft pink - great for Spring or bridal manicures. You can see theVNL a little but it's not enough for me to want to add a third coat.
Shut the Front Salvador is a soft Barbie pink - almost a bubblegum. It's one of the standard Spring pink shades so it's perfect for the recent release of these shades.
A P-Ink Mess is a bright fuchsia shade that craves your attention. It's creamy and applies like butter. Love this shade!
My Best Self-Portrait is a sheer and shimmery nude color. I don't particularly like this one for my skin tone, but I do like the subtle shift in color that this shade offers.
Stop! Impasto! - This is more of a Fall shade to be honest but it packs a huge shimmer punch. There's no lack of glitter in this polish.
Peek-a-Hue is a orangey-red shade that makes you want Summer to be here already. Although, here in my part of the nation, it certainly feels like Summer some days.
Kiss Me Like Hue Mean It is a classic "kiss me" red shade. What more can I say? I love it!
I Have the Painters Hues is a gorgeous light berry shade and applies so smooth. I only have a few shades like this but I'm sure I'll be grabbing this one often!
Lavender Brushstrokes is probably my favorite of the bunch. It's a bright lavender shade that falls into any season as far as manis go.
Have you picked up any of these shades since they've been released? Which one is your favorite shade? Let me know in the comments!
