Milani Bella Eyes Gel Powder Eye Shadow - Part 1Wednesday, August 27, 2014
Okay everyone! As most of you already know, Milani has come out with 30 gorgeous new gel powder eye shadows recently. Today I'll be showing you 18 of them and then the other 12 tomorrow. All of these swatches are over an eye shadow primer base. Let's jump right in!
The first three in the series are Bella Ivory, Bella Sand, and Bella Cappuccino. All of the shadows have a small indentation in the center, which I love. These neutral shades are gorgeous and would work well together on the eyes. Application for all of these gel powder shadows is easier with a finger than it is a brush. These are the types of shadows that you really want to pack on the color with.
The next three are Bella Caffe, Bella Taupe, and Bella Espresso. We're getting into some of the darker neutral shades now. Combined with the first 3 of the series, you have a pretty good neutral palette. Honestly, if you wanted to, you could depot these shadows and create your own palette.
Now, of course, here are the swatches of those first six shadows. Definitely a nice combination of neutrals, wouldn't you say?
Bella White, Bella Sky, and Bella Navy are the next three shadows. I'm definitely starting to see a pattern here with Milani. Again, these three shades would work well together for a smoked out blue look. When we get to the next three, you'll have another great color palette to go to.
Bella Gray, Bella Charcoal, and Bella Black are up! Do you see what I mean? The grays with the blues are such a good combination together. These are so smooth to apply, but again, I prefer using my finger than a brush. Using them wet would create the same sort of effect but with a more intense color pop.
I love how all 6 of these look together. Milani definitely knows what they're doing!
The last shades for today get into some purples and greens. Here we have Bella Pink, Bella Violet, and Bella Purple. I think I'm in love with Bella Violet. I do love using purple in some of my natural eye looks because it's the perfect pop of color on my skin tone. Sometimes other colors don't really work, but purple has always been good to me.
So, Bella Champagne, Bella Khaki, and Bella Emerald are gorgeous. Can I just leave it at that? Seriously though, these colors are amazing and even though they have lots of shimmer, it isn't overpowering. You'll see in the swatches below how good they are and how well they complement the previous three colors.
These Milani shadows retail for $3.99 wherever most Milani products are sold. In my opinion, you're getting a lot of product for just $4! Totally worth it!
