Nail Cones Review

Sunday, June 22, 2014

Hey all! Today I have these interesting nail polish guards called Nail Cones. The concept is great and they look adorable...but do they work? This is the pack I received which contains 15 Nail Cones.

As you can see, they come in 3 different sizes. At first I was thinking, "Hmm...they look a bit round to me. How are they going to wrap around my finger if they are SO round?"

Well, like this. I started but sliding it under my nail. The I took one side and wrapped it around and then slowly pulled the other side to get it to look like this. Make sure there is NO residue on your fingers because then they won't stick.

So, after the Nail Cone went on, I painted my nail. It was more difficult for me to be careful with this on than when I'm normally doing my nails with no guard. I felt like I was having to avoid the Nail Cone...even though it's supposed to be there for help.

I did have a little leakage, which I guess is to be expected. These Nail Cones, like I said, are a great concept, but I think they should be a thinner sticker. It also left stick residue on my finger which I didn't like.

Being a nail blogger and having to learn to paint my nails carefully and then do a proper cleanup makes it hard to want to use anything like this. If you're a beginner or just have an unsteady hand, maybe give these a try! You can get them HERE on their website. A pack of 60 is just $5.99. Give them a try and let me know if they helped your nail polish application process!

I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.

  1. Sounds like a neat idea but I think I prefer just painting my nails regularly without these. They make it look harder in my opinion.

  2. I think this might be more useful when doing gradients...
