I'm sure like most of you, I was THRILLED to hear that the Matte Velvets were back from Zoya. Not just a few but ALL of them!!! Do you already own any of these? I only had Savita from way back when. I'm happy to have completed the collection this time around!
Posh is a gorgeous red matte shade. I don't own very many matte polishes at all, so it's nice to see some bright colors with no shine. This one I was able to apply with just 1 coat. The nice thing about these Matte Velvet shades is that the formula is thin enough that you can pretty much get the polish where you need it to go. It also doesn't dry faster than you can work with it. This also makes it easier to paint with less brush lines once it's dry.
Veruschka is a gorgeous evergreen shade. There is a hint of metallic shimmer in it that gives a nice little pop on your nails. It's great for the holidays but I'd wear this any time of the year. I did use 2 thin coats of this for the swatch below.
Harlow looks VERY shimmery, even when dried. It's described as a rose plum shade, which I can agree with. If you're not completely into the matte finish, I'd definitely recommend this one because it almost looks as if it wasn't completely matte. Adding a top coat to this would definitely brighten up your mani! I used 2 coats for this.
Savita is the one I owned way back when. I loved it then and I still love it now. The deep purple color is simply stunning. I love the metallic specks in it and I will forever cherish this polish. Haha, so dramatic!
Loredana is a gunmetal grey with silvery shimmer bits in it. I love mattes like this because, again, it almost looks like I'm not wearing a matte shade. I applied 2 coats for the swatch below.
Last up is Dovima. There's something about a matte black polish that just looks so darn sleek. Having the hint of silver shimmer makes this appropriate for the holidays in my opinion. I may not do my entire mani in this color, but as an accent with maybe red and green...or blue and purple. I'm getting mani ideas brewing in my brain.
I'd recommend getting your hands on these before they disappear again. Not sure how long they'll be around but you don't want to miss it!
These shades are available now at $9 a piece or you can get the 6-piece sampler set for $54.
